The Gathering Place

Vern and Patsy Cole built and established The Gathering Place in Ark Haven, out of a deep conviction that The LORD was calling His people to assemble in a more intentional and consecrated way. Having outgrown our home church, we began to recognize not just the need for more space, but the evidence of genuine spiritual fruit that flowed whenever believers gathered together. We witnessed lives strengthened through heartfelt worship, solid teaching grounded firmly in the Word of GOD,and the kind of rich, authentic fellowship that knits hearts together in unity and love. It became clear that there was a need for a dedicated place where this kind of spiritual life could continue to flourish.

At the center of that vision was the sacred act of remembering the life, death, and resurrection of our LORD, through the breaking of bread. Inspired by Acts 2:42, where the early believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer, we desired to create a space where that same devotion could be lived out in our day. The Gathering Place was born from that longing — a place set apart to worship THE LORD, to grow in sound biblical teaching, to share in deep fellowship, and to faithfully continue in the sacred remembrance of Messiah.

The Gathering Place is not just a place to have a Church service but has also been used as an event center for Movie night, game night, baby shower and community meetings. Neighbors have been meeting on a weekly basis for a prayer night, consisting of gathering prayer request, worship/praise, fellowship, communion and, of course, snacking on wonderful pizzas and other goodies.
